The Bear Creek Hot Springs Ambush Camp is a key tactical location situated in the desert region of Belknap in Days Gone. Clearing this hostile stronghold allows players to uncover an underground bunker hatch that reveals valuable map information and crafting rewards. Finding the exact entry point requires navigating past well-defended enemy lines and elevated sentry positions.

Locating the Bear Creek Hot Springs Camp

The camp is situated in the northern stretch of the Belknap territory, surrounded by rocky terrain and steep cliffsides. Approaching from the west or northern rim provides a superior tactical advantage over the defending enemies. Scouting the perimeter first helps identify snipers and traps laid out near the main entries.

Tactical Approaches for Infiltration

Clearing the camp quietly is recommended due to the presence of multiple snries and heavily armed defenders. Moving clockwise along the western upper ridges allows you to pick off hostiles using silenced weapons or a crossbow. Eliminating the primary sniper first prevents the rest of the camp from calling in reinforcements.

Finding and Accessing the Underground Bunker

Once all fifteen camp defenders have been defeated, you can locate the underground hatch. The bunker hatch is positioned on the upper elevated level of the camp near a low wooden fence and makeshift shelter structures. Interacting with the hatch opens the ladder leading down into the subterranean bunker room.

Rewards and Map Unlocks Inside the Bunker

Inside the bunker, players can interact with the tactical map laid out on the main table. Examining this map reveals nearby points of interest, including NERO research sites and regional infestation nests. In addition to unlocking fast travel options, completing the camp grants substantial trust and experience points.
