Navigating the post-apocalyptic world of ARC Raiders requires both tactical awareness and knowledge of key quest objectives scattered across map sectors. Among the early missions assigned by Celeste, A Symbol of Unification tasks players with recovering a lost emblem and restoring it to its rightful place. Completing this objective in a single match requires reaching a specific southern landmark on the Dam Battlegrounds map.
Where to Find the Formicai Outpost
The primary destination for this quest is the Formicai Outpost, situated at the southernmost edge of the Dam Battlegrounds area. Positioned just south of the Scrap Yard, this isolated facility sits on a small hill in the forest. Because of its remote location away from major hot zones, players generally encounter fewer hostile raiders and ARC patrols while approaching.
To start the mission cleanly, approach the main structure from its southwestern side to locate the primary entrance. The surrounding trees provide decent cover if you need to scout the area before entering. Keeping a low profile is essential since all quest steps must be completed within a single deployment round.
Locating and Claiming the Raider Flag
Once inside the outpost's central building, search the main room along the southern wall. You will discover a yellow-marked backpack resting on top of a medical bed. Interacting with this container causes the Raider Flag item to spawn directly into your inventory.
If another player team is attempting the same objective during your match, you may need to secure the area before grabbing the item. Check your inventory to ensure the flag is collected before moving on to the next room. The whole retrieval process takes only a few seconds if the room is clear.
How to Hoist the Flag and Complete the Mission
After securing the flag, head toward the eastern exit of the facility near the grain silo section. Walk out onto the small exterior platform that overlooks the Red Lakes area below. You will find a rusted, empty flagpole waiting at the edge of this balcony platform.
Interact with the flagpole to raise the Raider Flag high into the air. Once the flag is hoisted, the objective instantly registers as complete, allowing you to return to Speranza and claim your quest rewards from Celeste.
